Montgomery Fest (that is the the couple that go around holding hands a lot) and Mrs Sensible and I are considering the possibility of organising a weekend meeting in Budapest for bloggers.
So we are testing the water to see if anyone is interested in joining us for a weekend of madness fun.

I am not sure how beneficial this will be to speaking English.. the last couple of messages have been discussions on the misuse of strange words ie bunfight (party) and creche (fortified place to leave children while you have a good time) But we can try

That sounds fun. Budapest is a tad difficult to get to from Montpellier and expensive too. Would it be during the half term holidays?

We provisionally said Budapest but it is not yet set in stone, we would love to hear suggestions. Again we would like to do it in the school holidays but I guess the dates very across europe.

Count me in. As long as it is not during Bigfoot’s exam periods and I can buy low-priced tickets over the net a long time in advance. Sarah, maybe we could do the expedition together? We can either go by train, Jane Austen-style with lacy bonnets on our heads, or Thelma and Louis our way across Europe with silk scarves and sunglasses (I will refrain from saying, “gaga, you have been a very bad girl”, I promise). I’ve never visited Budapest, PF says it’s fabulous. Paris would be nice too, though.

Great, . Paris does sound nice, but it is full of French People. I would like Italy because it is near home and you can get a decent pizza here.
As soon as we know who is coming we can hammer out the final details. Already done, but Montgomery fest’s server was rude to me when I submitted my form. MAybe it objected to my choice of colour and refuses anyone who dares to say ‘red’.

If you want an excuse to go to Italy, then let’s decided to organise it here. It would make more sense, because I can then drive and check out hotels, rooms etc. Plus be here the night before to make sure everything is ok.
You are more than welcome to come and stay with us, which will save you and I the cost of a hotel.

Never been to Budapest so that’s another advantage.
