A: … south of Santa Maria Capua Vetere you shouldn’t be caught wearing a motorbike helmet unless you are a hired killer. Right?

Hi Andy, The socks are bad, but you are correct. You have obviously been in Italy too long. I passed Salerno twice. Once on Thursday and then on the way back 7 days later. Mad utter madness

They must be tourists if they are wearing helmets in Italy. I didn’t think they were available there. Of course her head is safe…..but feet in flip flops on a motorcycle? She’s asking for trouble.

Oh and I thought you’d like to know I did as you said, I looked up that whole roundabout thing, oh I think that was work-a-way thing—I have decided that I like the concept and that in my next life I plan to become a work-a-away—I use to tell friends that if I ever went missing to look for me in Assisi as I’d be helping the Poor Clares tend their olives,—–I will now tell them that I will be in Sicily helping a black sheep sell his crisps 🙂

Flip flops are very dangerous on a motorbike. I have seen 4 on a bike. Normally the 4th person stands in front of the driver and helps to steer. The flip flop are to reduce the weight so the bike can go faster

It is the same in the North of Italy. It is very strange to see a woman sat in a chair dressed in just her bra and knickers next to a set of traffic lights.
It is the only time I have see Italians hesitate when the lights turn green,
