Two and a half years ago I received an E mail asking for advice, now everybody knows you should never ask advice from a Black Sheep; especially this Black Sheep. I did try my best to help her and if you are interested here is a link to the advice I gave.

Despite my help Antonia and I now keep in touch via Facebook; although we talk often I have never had enough courage to ask her how useful my wonderful advice was.

    I’m sure that you have advice to us expats if Britain leaves the EU. I reckon Brexit means “British Expat In Trouble”. What do you think ? 😀

    • Two months ago they unceremoniously threw me off the Italian Health System. Their reason…. The U.K. is not part of Europe! Their reasoning was, the U.K. doesn’t use the Euro for currency so how can they be part of Europe!

      At the moment I am trying to stay healthy A glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away

  4. Blessings Pete all the way from London! Thank you ever so much for taking the time to write about me and I do hope your loyal readers will take the time to read the very helpful, and super funny, advice you gave me back in the day when I was on a quest to turn my husband into a bilingual citizen of the world. He obviously chose to remain purely English but I must admit his Italian now includes quite few catch phrases and words…At the moment his favorite is ” Meno male…”, which somehow really amuses him…must be the sound of it!
    Anyway, keep up the amazing job you do in describing the insanity of living in Italy so well, cause your posts are among those things in life I do look forward to greatly. Grace and love to you to Mrs Sensible x

    • Thanks Antonia, I hope you are feeling better, the mosquitos have just started arriving here, I have just spent an hour cutting some long grass and you could now play join the spots/bites and make pretty pictures
